Privacy policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026.
In short: the app does not collect personal data. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no servers of its own. Your progress lives on your device and in your iCloud, which we can’t access.
Who is responsible for your data
The ConQioFlags app is provided by Raúl Flores Carpio, the controller of the data described here. For any privacy question, write to support@conqioflags.com.
What the app stores and where
- Your progress, your profile and your settings. They are stored on your device. If you use iCloud on your iPhone or iPad, the app also keeps a copy in your iCloud so your progress can move from one of your devices to another. That copy is in your Apple Account, and we have no access to it.
- Your free continent. The first time you open the app, it decides which continent you get for free from the country of your App Store account; if that isn’t available, it uses your device’s region or time zone. Your device works this out and it’s saved with your progress. It never reaches us.
- The purchase. You pay for it on the App Store, which handles the payment under its own terms. The app only receives confirmation from the App Store that you have the full version. We don’t see your name, your email or your payment details.
- Export and import. You create the file with your progress yourself, from Settings, and you decide where to save it or who to send it to.
- Sharing results. The image of your results is created on your device and you share it yourself, with the system share menu. If you save it to Photos, your device asks for your permission: the app can only add it, it can’t see your photos.
- Games with friends. They are played on a single device, passed from hand to hand. There is no connection between devices.
- The daily reminder. If you turn it on, your device asks for your permission to send you notifications and schedules them itself, at the time you choose, to remind you about Around the world. They don’t go through any server and nothing reaches us. You turn it off in Settings.
Apart from the App Store and iCloud, the app does not connect to the internet.
What we don’t do
- We don’t ask for accounts or sign-ups.
- We don’t show ads or track you across apps or websites.
- We don’t use analytics, cookies or advertising identifiers.
- We don’t sell or share data with anyone.
Statistics from Apple
In its developer dashboard, Apple shows us statistics about the app: downloads and sales and, from people who have agreed to share it in their device settings, usage and crash data. We see them in aggregate, without knowing who anyone is. How Apple collects them is explained in the Apple Privacy Policy.
If you write to us
If you write to support@conqioflags.com, we receive your email address and whatever you tell us. We use it only to reply to you, based on our legitimate interest in handling your request (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation). We keep it for as long as we need to help you and then delete it. Our email is hosted on Apple’s iCloud.
If you are under 14, ask a parent or whoever looks after you to write to us for you.
The website
The ConQioFlags website, conqioflags.com, is hosted on GitHub Pages, a GitHub service. As with any GitHub Pages site, GitHub logs visitors’ IP addresses for security (GitHub Privacy Statement). The website uses no cookies or analytics and loads nothing from other sites.
Data outside the European Union
The IP addresses logged by GitHub and the emails you send us, which Apple stores in iCloud, may be stored outside the European Union, for example in the United States. Both companies do so with the safeguards required by European law: the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Your rights
For the data in the emails you send us, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability by writing to support@conqioflags.com. If you have any questions about your data, write to us and we’ll sort it out. The law also gives you the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).
You control your progress in the app: it’s on your device and in your iCloud account, and you can delete it whenever you want in Settings, with “Reset my progress”.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll publish the new version in the app and on the website, with its date.
